Think back to the day that you received your job offer. What were you excited about? What were the things that you wanted to accomplish? What were your motivators for taking the job? If you are feeling like things are lackluster right now or even worse, you can’t stand the thought of going into work most days, is it because you forgot about those things? Has everything changed at your company? We don’t fall out of love, we fall out of hope that things can get any better than they are right now.
As a first step, create a positives/negatives list. If the negatives heavily outweigh the positives, maybe it is time to start thinking about making a job change. If the list of negatives are things that you can control, try taking control of those things first. Create balance in your life by prioritizing the things that make you happy. Maybe you will need to get up an hour earlier, start a new routine, or block off specific times on your calendar. Once you have done that, you will be in a better place to look at your situation and make an honest assessment. If you find that a job change is the solution, reach out to integrITalent. We can help you find something that you do love – something that gives you hope.
